Joshua Brennan was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1980. He spent a few early years in Brewer, Maine. In 2009, Joshua received his MFA in Studio Art at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He also received his BA in 2004 in Printmaking and Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin - Parkside in Kenosha, WI, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Joshua is an active teacher and and maintains an active presence in the Arts. In 2007, while studying at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, Italy, he printed a silkscreen poster for the Slovenian Pavilion Artist Tobias Putrih at the 52nd Venice Biennale. Joshua has received numerous awards, including an Honorarium for his installation and performance in the exhibition TIMELAPSE for SoFA gallery at Indiana University and a Purchase Award from the Parkside National Small Print Exhibition.
Joshua splits his time between working in the studio and exhibiting nationally and internationally with his family and three dogs. |
